Death of the Lincoln Town Car limo? Not in Orange County!

The Lincoln Town car has been a mainstay of the limousine industry for over a decade. And there's good reason for that. It's the perfect choice for the lone executive on the go. At In the Scene Limousine our Town Cars are the true work horse of our Orange County limo fleet. Town Cars are comfortable, reliable, and able to withstand the pressure of true all day driving demands of our cliental. It's one of our chauffeurs' absolute favorites to drive.

However, Ford has announced that our beloved Lincoln Town Car will be going out of production in August of 2011. So what are they going to offer to replace it in the luxury sedan line up? Ford's Lincoln brand will be rolling out the 2011 Lincoln MKT crossover which boasts WiFi hotspot capabilities, a usb charging port, and a 110-volt plug for passengers in the rear. Additionally, the MKT's 3 person rear seat has the ability to recline allowing you to get some shut eye before your next meeting.

While the new tech features sound quite accommodating, let's talk about the elephant in the room - how it looks. To be frank, the cross-over body styling doesn't hold a candle to the classic Town Car sedan look. As an Orange County limousine service, we're trying to make sure you arrive in style to your big event - not take you to soccer practice. Lincoln does say that the MKT chassis has the ability to stretch 10 feet, so we hope the elongated version will make a better impression.

I really don't like the MKT's 'hatchback' looking rear end. When stretched, it's going to even-more look like a mommy-bus.
